League of Legends has announced that the 2021 visual and gameplay upgrade vote as well as the champions picked for the poll are long awaited.
The Riot Games allowed fans to vote a few years ago on which winners they wanted to gain extra recognition during the year. Volibear and Fiddlestick were the champions, declared in May of 2019. The voting returns this year, and Udyr, Shyvana, Nocturne, Skarner, and Quinn will be the Champions electors who can pick.
Udyr
Udyr is an old age champion who wants as much of a visual refresh as an upgrade. He has a popular mechanic of shape switching that enables him to change his melee attacks. Riot is going to try to give and form its extra significance so that players are not stuck in on any one of its forms.
Quinn
As of now, Quinn seems like a waste of talent. Her gameplay doesn’t live up to her dream and claims to be a “Demacian ranger working in perfect sync with a trained warhawk.” If she’s picked, it’s possible that her gear will be updated, because it seems more like she’s teaming up with Valor, her warhawk, than using it as a missile-like weapon.
Shyvana
Shyvana was also part of the last vote and almost won, so consider her to be a frontrunner. If she’s picked, expect Riot to give buffs to her dragon shape to make her feel more destructive and special compared to her human form.
Nocturne
Nocturne is a common option for inexperienced players, but it’s also dropped by many as they gain experience. If Riot is picked, he’ll most likely upgrade his base kit, since his legendary ultimate is as good as it is. Wait for him to get a video update as well.
Skarner
Skarner is a deeply unpopular champion who is sure to receive the biggest improvement if he succeeds. They’re most likely to re-imagine both his package and style, and potentially his backstory and his lore as well. As of today, he’s a master of no champion, so prepare him to be reborn from the ground up.
