Mid-laner Chen “zc” Xiaofeng of Team MagMa was disqualified from the DPC for match-fixing while on Team Ocean.

Team MagMa Mid-Laner Chen ‘zc’ Xiaofeng has been banned by Perfect Universe. MasMa is one of four teams that have qualified for the Chinese Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) League Upper Division. Team MagMa is a production team founded by Old Boys, a group of 10 former Dota players. Originally, two teams were created, called Ocean and Blaze. When the two squads merged, their titles were fused into MagMa. Offlaner Jiang “Tzy” Bo was also on Team Ocean during the match-fixing, but no charges were leveled against him. According to a Weibo post made by the TI2 champion and a team owner Chen ‘Zhou’ Yao, zc was reportedly interested in match-fixing while he was on Team Ocean. Evidence has been sent forward of zc obtaining the capital.

In August last year, MagMa was formed when two sister teams, Ocean and Blaze, combined under one name.

During the match-fixing, Offlaner Jiang ‘Tzy’ Bo was also on Team Ocean, but there was no news on whether he had been involved. There were no comments made about the other members of Team Ocean.

It will also be allowed for the rest of Team MagMa to participate with a replacement player. A substitution is yet to be revealed.

In North America, a similar ban happened when Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho was barred from playing in the DPC and, in order to compete, Team Aristotle had to find a new replacement.
