VALORANT Champions 2021 Day 3: Vivo Keyd win over Acend, Fnatic secure First Quarterfinals Spot, Envy crush X10 Crit

VALORANT Champions 2021 Day 3: Vivo Keyd win over Acend, Fnatic secure First Quarterfinals Spot, Envy crush X10 Crit. Day 3 of VALORANT Champions 2021 had many exciting matches. Vivo Keyd and Acend fought closely, but it was the former team who finally took the series 2-1. Fnatic went against Vision Strikers for the first spot for Quarterfinals. The game stretched till the 3rd map Fracture, where Fnatic dealt a heavy blow to Vision Strikers and took the game 13-6. Although X10 Crit tried their best, Envy was able to get a win on both Breeze and Ascent maps.

VIVO KEYD VS ACEND

After Furia Esports, Vivo Keyd’s strong performance has made Brazil one of the emerging powerhouse regions of the game. In map 1, Icebox, both teams were on an equal footing by half-time with 6-6. Vivo Keyd played superbly in the second half to gain a lead and win the first map by 13-9. In map 2, Bind, Acend were dominating as they took 9-3 lead in the first half and won 4 games in a row in the second half to win the map. In map 3, Breeze, Acend were not able to continue their momentum as Vivo Keyd built an 8-4 lead in the first half and won over the map even though Acend tried to fight back.

FNATIC VS VISION STRIKERS

With the first Quarterfinals spot up for grabs, both teams fought neck-to-neck. In map 1, Icebox, both teams were at 6-6 at half-time, but Fnatic took the lead in the second half to win the map 13-10. Map 2, Haven also had the same outcome in the first half as both teams were tied on 6-6. This time it was Vision Strikers who took the lead and finished the map 13-10. In map 3, Fracture, Fnatic gained a large 9-3 lead over Vision Strikers in the first half. The damage was already done and Fnatic won the map in the second half comfortably by 13-6.

ENVY VS X10 CRIT

The third match series on Day 3 was between Envy and X10 Crit. In both maps 1 and 2, which were Breeze and Ascent, the teams were very close after the first half. In Breeze, the half-time score was 6-6 while in Ascent it was 7-5 for Envy and X10 Crit respectively. But the Southeast Asian team was not able to keep the momentum in the second halves of both maps. Envy dominated X10 Crit in the second halves to win both the maps and the series by 2-0.
